I did it again; I started a blog and then left it alone for an entire week. I hate that. I will say that I thought about writing here every single day over the past week; I just never got the opportunity to sit down and do so.
I did not make it to Sprouts, as the weather was HORRIBLE which means the roads and the people driving upon them would be even MORE horrible. Instead, we went to Starbucks and watched the rain fall. Not so bad after all!
The entire week I was playing "single mom", while J was out of town on business. I have to say it was one of the more uneventful weeks ive had while solely caring for the kids! Score!
Unfortunately, I got another one of my superbad headaches and was pretty much useless all that day. I used to get migraines every day for weeks on end, then suddenly they just go away. Maybe its stress, maybe its what Im eating/drinking. Its hard to figure out at times.
Today is Mothers Day...one of the more sentimental holidays in our repertoire. Twelve years ago today, I found out we were going to have a baby...now that baby is almost as tall as I am, can wear my shoes, and fits into Junior sized clothing! A few years later, we were delighted to know we would have baby number two....now THAT baby is a sporty tomboy who loves her Mommy VERY much, and is always attached to my hip. And lastly, a few years after that, we discovered we would be having our final child; a boy. That boy came into the world, guns blazing and if his fight to live was any indication of what was to come, we wouldve known that he would be strong willed and full of personality.
So, today we honor the mothers of the world. Those who's babies are just newly born;those whose babies are grown up and have their own children, giving their moms the special role as grandmother; those who's babies were taken from them all too soon but who's memory remains deeply imbedded in their hearts, minds and souls; and all the mommies in between. Every one special and important in their roll as caretaker, teacher, friend, psychologist, cook, maid, chaperone, chaffeur...the list just goes on and on.
Thank you, Mommies.
